High Performance Training Center at Hollydell

Hollydell Ice Arena is excited to announce the launch of its
High Performance Training Center

In keeping with our focus on athlete development, we will be opening a high performance training center this summer, offering hockey specific training.  Our mission is allowing our athletes to progress to the next level, and we need to advance their games both on and off the ice.  We hope that Hollydell will be the premier hockey training facility in the region, serving both our past and current players.  Details of the facility and our plans for it are outlined below.  “Who’s Next?”

 

  • 4,000 square foot, state of the art facility
  • Facility is being directed by Matt Sees and Jeff Mood of Sees Strength
  • PHC teams at the 13U and higher levels will have off ice training included in their tuition
  • All other PHC and Hurricanes players, 11U and above, will be able to train in the facility as per the details below.
  • All athletes in the facility will be provided with full or semi customized training plans

 

Training Options – Team Training

  • Targeted at groups of 8 to 20 athletes
  • The group can train 1 to 3 times per week
  • Training will be offered in blocks of 12 weeks
  • Team training offered at $150 per hour

Training Options – Small Group Training

  • Targeted at groups of 4 to 7 athletes
  • The group can train 1 to 3 times per week
  • Training will be offered in blocks of 12 weeks
  • Small group training offered at $70 per hour

Training Options – Individual Training

  • Fully customized training offered for individuals
  • $30 to $40 per session, based on the frequency of training
  • All Hollydell athletes receive a $5 discount per session

 

HPTC Trainers

Matt Sees:

Matt Sees is a Strength and Conditioning Coach who received his Bachelor’s degree from Rowan University and also has his CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.) Over the past 6 years he has experience working with NFL and NHL All-Stars, collegiate athletes ranging from D1 to D3, high school athletes, youth athletes, and adult populations who just want to feel better and shed a few pounds. Matt’s other coaching responsibilities were assessing, designing programs, and coaching the Philadelphia Soul (AFL) and Virtua Ice Hockey Organization. In the pursuit of being the best in his craft, he has completed continuing education in Functional Range Conditioning, Postural Restoration Institute, RockTape, and BioForce.

Matt grew up in Glassboro, NJ where he was a 3-sport athlete in football, wrestling, and track. He played 4 years of football at Rowan University. Matt also spent a few years coaching high school football and wrestling after college. He currently competes in Olympic Weightlifting and is a national level competitor.

Jeff Mood:

Jeff Mood is a Certified functional fitness specialist , NASM CPT, and is also FMS level 1 certified. At this time Jeff is continuing his education with NASM as a corrective exercise specialist. Jeff has been involved with athletics and the fitness industry for over 20 years . He has coached youth, high school, and collegiate athletes to improve themselves as well as individuals looking to lose weight , move and feel better about themselves. Jeff has worked with ice hockey and soccer teams for on and off season conditioning .

Jeff has his Level 4 USA hockey certification and has actively coached at both AAA & the high school level for the last 15 years. Jeff has been involved with Emergency Services for over 30 years and is a retired police officer. His history above prepares his clients not only for competition but for every day life.

Jeff grew up in Burlington County and is married with 2 children who are both actively involved with sports.
